Some remote tribal communities in the Alishan area are not accessible by bus. Visitors are advised to book transportation services with local B&Bs in advance.

From THSR Chiayi Station, you can transfer to the BRT shuttle bus to reach Puzi City or Chiayi Railway Station, then transfer to Chiayi County bus or Chiayi Bus services to reach various attractions.

Take any train on the Western Trunk Line to Dalin, Minxiong, Jiabei, Chiayi, Shuishang, or Nanjing stations. From there, transfer to Chiayi County bus or Chiayi Bus services to reach tourist destinations.

Take National Freeway No. 1 and exit at Dalin, Minxiong, Chiayi, Shuishang, or the Chiayi System Interchange, or take National Freeway No. 3 and exit at Meishan, Zhuqi, Jhongpu, or the Shuishang System Interchange. You may also connect via Provincial Highway 82 (East-West Expressway) and then continue on local roads to reach the scenic spots.
